She was a longtime resident of the Valley, moving away in 1995, to be closer to her family on the coast. When they decided to move back to Wenatchee, she returned to live out the rest of her life with family and friends nearby. Read More	Wenatchee World - Tuesday, April 27, 2010 AnnaMerle Kliewer, of Wenatchee, passed away quietly while residing at Western Saddlerock Group Home on Thursday, April 22, 2010. She was a longtime resident of the Valley, moving away in 1995, to be closer to her family on the coast. When they decided to move back to Wenatchee, she returned to live out the rest of her life with family and friends nearby. Born in Sandpoint, ID on October 2, 1920, and living in that area for many years, she met and married the love of her life, Gordon Kliewer in 1941. Married for 55 years, he passed away in 1995, and she continued on, living in Edmonds, WA. She had worked as a telephone operator and many years for the Chelan County Public Library system, retiring in 1982. She was a loving wife, mother and grandma. To her, family, friends and her belief in God, were the most important things in the world. She loved sports and delighted in watching her sons, grandson and granddaughter participate in their various activities. After moving to the coast, she became a huge Seattle Mariner fan, sharing their successes and failures with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; and brother, Dennis. Her surviving family includes her sons, Lee (Carol) of Cache, OK and Lanny (Lynn) of Wenatchee; their children, Darcy (Matt) Jeffery of Wenatchee and Cory (Sheneil) Kliewer of Bothell; and one great-grandson, Luke Jeffery.
