Description	:	Mrs. Annastasia (Annie) Collmann Wise, widow of Jacob Wise, a well known pioneer, German farmer of Vienna Township, died at 4:15 this morning, September 27th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Buchwald, 108 1/2 North Avenue. Mrs. Wise's death was due to catarrhal pneumonia and followed an illness of ten days. She had been in poor health, however, since a year ago last September, she suffered a stroke of paralysis. Read More	Mrs. Annastasia (Annie) Collmann Wise, widow of Jacob Wise, a well known pioneer, German farmer of Vienna Township, died at 4:15 this morning, September 27th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Buchwald, 108 1/2 North Avenue. Mrs. Wise's death was due to catarrhal pneumonia and followed an illness of ten days. She had been in poor health, however, since a year ago last September, she suffered a stroke of paralysis. Since the death of her husband on February 27, 1911, Mrs. Wise has made her home with her daughter in this city. Mrs. Wise was born Annastasia Collmann of Hessian Castle, Germany, September 27, 1838. She came to this country in 1954 and settled in Lee County, Illinois, where on April 15, 1858, she became the wife of Mr. Wise. Mr. and Mrs. Wise came to this county in 1865, lived in Marion Township for a short time and then moved to Vienna Township, three miles northeast of Green Mountain, on the farm now occupied by Mrs. Wise's daughter, Mrs. Peter Cober and family. Two sons and three daughters survive Mrs. Wise. The sons are Henry Wise of Vienna Township and John Wise of Tama County. The daughters are Mrs. Charles Buchwald and Mrs. Charles Burt, living north of the city and Mrs. Peter Cober of Vienna Township. Mrs. Mary Bowman and Mrs. Kate Vogel of this city are sisters. Mrs. Wise was a lifelong member of the German Evangelical Chapel, northeast of Green Mountain. The funeral will be held at the Evangelical Chapel, Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. Karl West, of this city, officiating. A short prayer service will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Buchwald home. Burial will be in the German Evangelical Chapel Cemetery.
