Description	:	NEW UNDERWOOD - Services for Annetta Baxter, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ in New Underwood, with the Rev. Wilbur D. Bullock officiating. Burial will be in New Underwood Cemetery under direction of Behrens Mortuary of Rapid City. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 pm to 8 pm Monday, from 8 am to 8 pm Tuesday and from 8 am to noon Wednesday. A memorial has been established for the Good Samaritan Center at New Underwood, where she died Saturday. She was born Jan. 7, 1897, at Emmettsberg, Iowa, to Lars and Eliza (Thompson) Reese. On Feb. 19, 1913, she married Augest Jacoby at New Underwood. As a cook and seamstress, she worked at the New Underwood Hospital until it closed in 1942, then moved to Rapid City where she worked at Bennett-Clarkson Hospital for 27 years, retiring in 1969. On Dec. 17, 1955, she married John Baxter at Rapid City. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was Gold Star Mother of the Year in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Robert Jacoby of Cut Bank, Mont., and Stanley Jacoby, Portland, Ore.; a daughter-in-law, Doris Jacoby of Rapid City; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great- great-grandchildren; two brothers, Louis Reese of Madison, Neb., and Alden Reese of Stanton, Neb.; and two sisters, Edna Housel of Madison, Neb., and Nora Hoff of Mesa, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, two sons, one daughter, four brothers and a great-great- granddaughter.
