Description	:	Annette “Cookie” Sisler, 86, of Oakland, MD died Monday, October 16, 2017 at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland. Born November 1,1930, in Rowlesburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late George “Dick” and Ora (Curry) Simons. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Cookie was a homemaker and was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Terra Alta, WV. Cookie’s kindness knew no boundaries. She “adopted” people and took care of people her whole life. Read More	Annette “Cookie” Sisler, 86, of Oakland, MD died Monday, October 16, 2017 at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland. Born November 1,1930, in Rowlesburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late George “Dick” and Ora (Curry) Simons. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Cookie was a homemaker and was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Terra Alta, WV. Cookie’s kindness knew no boundaries. She “adopted” people and took care of people her whole life. She would just “find them”. She knew no strangers. Everyone was always welcomed in her home and she always had an open heart and an open door. Cookie was truly a walking Good Samaritan. She is survived by her husband, Carroll L. “Kack” Sisler; three sons, David C. Sisler and wife, Kathy, Fort Mill, SC: Randy L. Sisler and wife, Sharon, Lancaster, SC; Jeffrey M. Sisler, Sr. and wife Carolyn, Atwater, OH; a daughter, Dawn D. Chesnut and husband, Jeff, Grand Rapids, MI; one brother; two sisters; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ross Glotfelty officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery, Friendsville, MD.
