Description	:	Annie Vetter, 89, Strasburg, formerly of Linton, died June 25, 2009, at the Strasburg Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, with the Rev. Gary Benz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services. Annie was born Aug. 30, 1919, on a farm east of Linton, the daughter of August and Katherine "Katie" (Wetzel) Aberle. She attended country school. Annie married Philip Vetter Sr. on Aug. 8, 1942, at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Following their marriage, they farmed and lived east of Linton for six years. They moved north of Linton where they also farmed. Annie was a cook at the Linton Public School for 25 years or more. She was a member of Christian Mothers, Linton Senior Citizens and St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Annie enjoyed playing cards, walking and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry Vetter, Lincoln, Philip Vetter Jr., Linton, Diane Vetter, Wilton, and Jane Vetter, Bismarck; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Viola and Eugene Gefroh, Hague, Judy and Wes Loebs, Bismarck, and Marlene and Dwight Perkins, Dilworth, Minn; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Rose Aberle. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1983; two sons, Ralph in 1995, and Kenneth in 2008; three sisters, Johanna Feist and two in infancy; and four brothers, Eugene, August, Leo and one in infancy.
