Tull Passed Away Following Stroke BURIED ON SUNDAY IN LOCAL CEMETERY Mrs. Anne S. Tull, esteemed and beloved citizen of this city and the widow of the late John Tull, passed away Thursday evening last at her home on Laird avenue. Death came to her at 7:45 o'clock. Until four weeks ago, at which time she suffered a paralytic stroke, she had been enjoying her usual good health. Following the stroke, Mrs. Tull became weaker and weaker until the hour of her death. Practically all her life had been spent in Crisfield, the place of her birth sixty-nine years ago, and her friends here were legion. Crisfield and Somerset county as a whole, has lost one of its finest residents in the death of Mrs. Tull. The deceased was the daughter of the late George Ward and Mrs. Sarah Laird Ward, and was a long and faithful attendant at the Immanuel M. E. Church. She was a kindly, Christian lady, a wonderful wife and mother, and a fine neighbor. She was twice married, her first husband being the late William Collins of Princess Anne and Crisfield and her second husband was the late John Tull, who passed away in April of 1936. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Cora Scott, of Baltimore, and Milton Collins, of Washington, D. C. Two sisters, Mrs. Frank Ward and Mrs. Laura Ward of Philadelphia, Pa., also survive. At the funeral services held from her late home on Laird avenue Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p. m., the floral tributes were beautiful and numerous, further showing the esteem and respect in which she was held by all who knew her. Rev. J. R. Bicking, pastor of the Immanuel M. E. Church, conducted the final rites and during the services, Mr. Horace Evans rendered the beautiful hymn "Never Grow Old." Interment was beside her first husband in the Crisfield cemetery. Pall-bearers at the funeral we Weldon Ward, Thomas Ward, Norris Ward, Aldon Ward, Carlisle Riggin, and Dr. Ewell Riggin.
