H. Stow The funeral of Mrs. C. H. Stow, whose death was mentioned briefly last week took place Friday forenoon at the family home in Waterloo. Rev. E. Aston conducted the services and the choir of the Presbyterian church sang. There was a great profusion of flowers to lend their sweet influence and evidence the kindly feeling for the departed and those who mourned the going of a loving wife and mother and friend. Burial was at Prospect Hill cemetery. Undertaker Greggersen of Elkhorn being in charge. The following were pallbearers: George Cook, H. G. Hempel, Harrison Morris, J. A. Payne, William and George Todd. The following out of town relatives were present: T. B. Parks, brother of Mrs. Stow, and Mrs. Parks, Ashland; Fred Aughe, nephew, Ponca; Mrs. and Mrs. Gus Carlson, Plattsmouth. Annie Irene Parks was born in Madison county, Iowa, November 3, 1871, living there until 1879, when she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Parks, to Nebraska. Later they moved to Belleville, Kansas, where she met and married Chester H. Stow, February 25, 1888, and going to Iowa, where they resided until 1904, when they moved to Illinois. The following year the family came to Waterloo, where they have since resided. Mrs. Stow passed away January 22, after a long illness, aged 41 years, 2 months and 19 days. Four children were born to this union, one son, Ray, and three daughters, Ethel (now Mrs. Carlson), Iowa and Emagene. Card of Thanks We desire in this way to thank all of our good friends and neighbors for the many acts of kindness and sympathy shown us during the last sickness and death of our beloved wife and mother, and also to express our thanks for the many beautiful floral offerings. ~ C.
