Zwicker 1955 Bridgewater Bulletin There passed away at Pinehurst on November 20th, 1955, Mrs. James H. Zwicker, following an illness of four months. She was before marriage Annie Laurie, daughter of the late Bennett and Mary Morton and was born at Barss Corners 72 years ago. For some years she lived at New Germany and upon her husband's retirement moved to Lunenburg; following his death five years ago she moved to Pinehurst with her son, Robert. She was a member of the United Church, Lunenburg and a member of Grace Chapter, No. 8, Order of the Eastern Star, Lunenburg. Left to mourn her passing are one daughter, Marguerite, Mrs. Leon Ritcey, New Germany; four sons, Dr. Raymond, Olney, Illinois; Robert and Henry, Pinehurst; and Peter, Saint John, as well as one brother, Roy, in British Columbia and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Pinehurst United Church on Tuesday, November 22nd, conducted by Rev. P. Chisholm, Mahone Bay. Previous to the service the Order of the Eastern Star, Grace Chapter, conducted their service for a departed sister, led by the Worthy Matron, Mrs. Lily Thurlow. The solo, "Beyond the Sunset" was beautifully rendered by Mrs. Dorothy Cook, Lunenburg, accompanied by Mrs. Lillian Losher, Lunenburg. Hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd," "Rock of Ages," and "Abide With Me." The pall bearers were Captain Leo Corkum, W.H. Cole, H. Strachan, Stanley Thurlow, George Cook, and Captain Lawrence Allen. Interment was in the Indian Brook Cemetery at Watford. "Until the day breaks and the shadows flee away."
