Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer Mowrey, who died suddenly at her home here early Monday morning, were conducted at Bramer's funeral home yesterday (Wednesday) at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. E. W. F. Holler and the Rev. Paul Figge were in charge of the services, with Miss Thursia Manatt providing organ music. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Will Davidson, Charles Keefe, Wayne Frizzell, John Brannian, Fred Gray and A. W. Scott. Annie Rosetta, daughter of James and Angeline Meldrem, was born Nov. 17, 1873, in Berrien county, Michigan, and died at her home in Brooklyn June 2, 1947. When a young girl, she moved with her parents to Iowa, settling near Brooklyn, where she attended rural schools. At an early age she became a member of the United Brethren church in South Brooklyn. Dec. 5, 1893, she married Elmer Mowrey. They had two daughters, Mrs. Beulah May Tinkle and Mrs. Mable Fern Saylor, both living in Brooklyn. The Mowreys have lived in or near Brooklyn all their married life. About four years ago they left their farm northwest of town and located in Brooklyn. Surviving are her husband, two daughters, a brother, William Meldrem, of Malcom; five grandchildren, Marvin and Donna Tinkle, and Melvin, Robert and Maynard Saylor, and one great grandchild, Michael Saylor.
