Description	:	OBIT: Annine K. Sorenson, 100, of Ellensburg, died Saturday at Gold Leaf Care Center. She was born June 13, 1891 in Aarhus, Denmark, the only child of Hans C. and Nelsine (Sorenson) Petersen. After coming to the United States as a child, she came to the Kittitas Valley in 1908 to make her home with Sorenson family. She attended Denmark School on Denmark Road. She and Emil W. Sorenson, 100, of Ellensburg, died Saturday at Gold Leaf Care Center. She was born June 13, 1891 in Aarhus, Denmark, the only child of Hans C. and Nelsine (Sorenson) Petersen. After coming to the United States as a child, she came to the Kittitas Valley in 1908 to make her home with Sorenson family. She attended Denmark School on Denmark Road. She and Emil W. Sorenson were married in Ellensburg on September 6, 1911. They farmed in the Denmark area. He preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Sorenson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, Eagles Lodge, 500 Club, 4K Club, Pinochle Club, a garden club, and a birthday club. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, fishing, and playing cards. Survivors include two sons, Wilburt and his wife, Alma Sorenson, and Marion Sorenson, both of Ellensburg; a daughter, Mary and her husband, Hiram Colburn of Ellensburg; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. A son, Earl, preceded her in death on April 28, 1977. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Cotton-Steward-Wiliams Chapel. The Rev. Donald Meekof will officiate and burial will follow at High Valley Cemetery. Viewing will be at the chapel Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Ellensburg Daily Record, July 22, 1991
