Born in Howard County on September 13, 1908, he was the son of Leroy Leonades and Mary Rebecca Mason Brower. He lived most of his life in Howard County and the last eight years in Young America. Born in Howard County on September 13, 1908, he was the son of Leroy Leonades and Mary Rebecca Mason Brower. He lived most of his life in Howard County and the last eight years in Young America. He was married October 12, 1927, to Ruth I. Marsh, who died April 7, 1980. His second marriage was May 30, 1981 to Georgia Long. A retired farmer, he also was a school bus driver for Northwestern and Ervin Township Schools for at least 25 years before retiring. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Galveston and Eastern Star Lodge and Lions Club, both of Young America. Surviving with his wife, who lives in Young America, are his mother who lives at the Brethren’s Home in Flora; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Phyllis) Henry, Rt. 2, Galveston, and Mrs. Robert (Nelda) Lovelace, Rt. 1, Flora; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and one brother, Dale M. Brower, Rt. 2, Kokomo. One brother preceded him in death. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Judson Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Henry Hawkins will officiate. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery in western Howard County.
