The funeral was Saturday at 10 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lawrence, with the Revs. Gary Gross and Adrian Herbek officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Drudik was born May 26, 1914, in Nelson. He married Helen Mazour Oct. 20, 1941, and they farmed in the Nelson area. In 1974, they moved to Lawrence. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Catholic Workmen. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard of Sutton and Thomas of Grand Island; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Reiman (Verena) and Mrs. Robert Kendall (Mary Ann) of Brandon, Miss.; two brothers, Frank and George, both of Nelson; and 13 grandchildren. Superior Express, Thursday, April 6, 1989 ============ Anton G. Drudik passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 1989 at his home in Lawrence, NE at the age of 74. Services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence with burial services in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Rev. Adrian Herbek, nephew of the deceased and the Rev. Gary Gross officiated. Altar boys were David Drudik and Patrick Kendall, grandsons, and Jeff Soucie, a grand nephew. Linda Ostdiek, a niece was organist while Tom Dolnicek led the congregational singing. Gene Svoboda served as the Lector. Pallbearers were nephews Robert Drudik, Bernard Herbek, Ron Nejezchleb and Larry Mazour, grandson Paul Drudik and Dennis Washburn. Born to Vaclav and Frances (Brym) Drudik on May 26, 1914 in Nelson, NE. Anton attended Star School in Nuckolls County he married Helen J. Mazour on October 20, 1941 and they were blessed with four children. Anton was both a farmer and a carpenter and love making things with his hands. Longtime members of our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in the Deweese, he and Helen lived on the family place until 1974. They moved to Lawrence that year, but Anton continued to farm the family land until 1985. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Catholic Workmen Branch 140, Deweese. Preceding Anton in death was a sister, Mrs. George (Mary) Herbek of Deweese. He is survived by his wife, Helen, Lawrence; sons Richard, Sutton and Thomas, Grand Island; daughters Mrs. Roger (Verena) Reiman, Hastings and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Kendall, Brandon,, MS; brothers George L. and Frank J., both of Nelson; and 13 grandchildren.
