She and her husband farmed until 1945 when they moved to Deweese. Besides her husband, Vaclav, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Herbek of Deweese, three sons, Frank, George, and Anton, all of Nelson, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Robinson of Pinebluffs, Wyo., and Mrs. Agnes Cook of Greeley, Colo., a brother, Edward Byrm of Lincoln, 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Vaclav, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Herbek of Deweese, three sons, Frank, George, and Anton, all of Nelson, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Robinson of Pinebluffs, Wyo., and Mrs. Agnes Cook of Greeley, Colo., a brother, Edward Byrm of Lincoln, 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Assumption Church at Deweese, Saturday, May 13, with the Rev. Adrian Herbek officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Lawrence. A Requiem Mass was offered by her grandson, Rev. Adrian Herbek. A nephew, the Rev. Daniel Pohlmeier, delivered the sermon. The Rev. Aloyisus Shmitz was in the Santuary (sic). Frances Drudik was born in Omaha, Nebraska, September 5, 1886 and departed this life at the age of 80 years. She attended school in Dwight, Nebr., later moved with her parents to a farm near Nelson where she was united in marriage to Vaclav Drudik and resided on a farm until 23 years ago when they retired to Deweese. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George (Mary) Herbek of Deweese, three sons – Frank, George and Anton of Nelson, 17 great grandchildren and a host of friends. She was a devote Catholic, loving and kind wife and Mother. Recitation of the rosary were Friday evening lead by Father Adrian Herbek of David City. Burial was at the Sacred Heart cemetery (sic) in Lawrence. Pall bearers were Bernard Herbek, Arnold Lemke, Royce Haines, Richard, Thomas and Robert Drudik. Those attending from a distance included Marian Sister Rosaline Herbek; two sisters, Anna Robinson, Pine Bluffs, Wyo., and Agnes Cook, Greeley, Colo.; brother, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Brym of Lincoln; Mary Pospichal of David City; Annie Pospichal of Ulysses, Emma Misek of David City; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brym of Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs. Louise Drudik of Lincoln; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Peters of Ulysses; and Don, Melvin and Gordon families of Greeley, Colo.
