ANDERSEN, 78 Mr. Anton M. Andersen, son of Anders Ejlertsen and Anna Maria Larsen, was born March 8, 1875 in Styrup, Denmark, Europe. He passed away at his home west of Harlan, Iowa, following a lingering illness, July 31, 1951. He reached the age of 76 years, 4 months and 23 days. Mr. Andersen grew up in his native country and came to this country in the year of 1885. He then came to Corley here in Shel~ by county, where he has lived since. He was engaged in farming the greater part of his life having spent more than fifty years on the farm, which was his home at the time of his passing. He married Elizabeth Boettger in 1898. To this union were born six children, four preceded their father in death. Mr. Andersen's brother Chris also came to this country, living also in Shelby county. He passed away several years ago. And there was one sister still in Denmark. He is survived by his wife, one son, Fred and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Kohl, both of Harlan, ten grandchildren and eight great~ grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted Friday afternoon, August 3, from the Schack Funeral home with the Rev. S.S. Kaldahl, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran church, in charge.
