Read More	UNMARKED GRAVE -------------------------------- Anton Bandur, resident of Sherman county for quarter of a century, died at the home of his son, Tom Bandur, at 4:40 Tuesday afternoon, following an immediate attack of the flu and other complications brought on by a paralytic stroke which he received three months ago. Mr. Bandur had received a ten day treatment at the hospital and was brought to the home of his son Thanksgiving Day. He had been suffering at intervals since receiving the stroke but at no time was his condition considered alarming to the family. Mr. Bandur was an industrious farmer and prominent among his friends. Arriving in this country in 1883 from Poland, he first settled near Platte Center where he farmed until 1907 when he moved to Sherman county with his family and bought a farm near Schaupps and in 1921 he bought another farm of 160 acres near Litchfield, which he moved onto in the spring of '21, leaving his Schaupps farm for his son Tom to farm. Three years after settling in Sherman county he suffered a great loss in the death of his beloved wife who had been a great help and constant companion to him during the first trying years of their life in this country. The passing of Mr. Bandur, even at the advanced age he had attained, was a shock to his many friends. He was a real friend to his neighbors who will miss him more than anyone else outside of his family. Mr. Bandur was born in Poland on January 3, 1848 and after his marriage there, the young couple set out for the new country to make a home for themselves and a determined effort to attain some of this country's wealth. Their efforts have not been in vain, having provided well for his family. He is survived by two boys and two girls, two daughters having preceded him, Mrs. Smallick [sic] died in 1918 and another daughter died at the age of 13. He is also survived by a sister. Mrs. George (Anna) Grella, Ashton, and a brother living in Chicago. Three brothers having preceded him. Funeral services for Mr. Bandur were held yesterday (Thursday) morning at 10 o'clock from St. Francis church, Rev. Father Jarzemski, officiating. Interment was made in St. Francis cemetery.
