The funeral service was held Monday morning at the Immaculate Conception church here and attracted a large crowd, the decedent having been a resident of this community for more than 50 years. Solemn high mass in requiem was conducted by the Rev. Father Thomas Vopatek, of Clutier, assisted by Father Panek, of Chelsea, and Father Gorecki, of Vining. Burial was in the Holy Trinity cemetery. Pall bearers were John Husak, Frank Cibula, John Sedlacek, John Roubinek, Ben Balvin Sr. and James Hala. Mrs. Dvorak, whose maiden name was Antonia Kucera, was born in Bohemia June 12, 1853. She grew to womanhood in that country and was married there to Joseph V. Dvorak at the age of 20. About four years later, the couple, with two small children, emigrated to America. The two children became ill during the long trip across the ocean and both died after the family reached Tama county. The parents settled on the farm southwest of Clutier, their home throughout the remainder of their lives. Seven other children were born to them, one of whom likewise died in infancy. The others all survive and all live in this community. They are Charles and Mary, who are at home; and Mrs. Joseph Husak and Joseph, Frank, and Louis Dvorak. The father died about fifteen years ago. The decedent leaves one sister, Mrs. Frank Posusta, of Vining. Mrs. James Hala, of the Toledo neighborhood, is a cousin. Mrs. Dvorak was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge here as well as of the Rosary societies of the Immaculate Conception, St. Vaclav and Holy Trinity churches. She was a good Christian woman who was held in high respect and esteem by all those who knew her.
