Description	:	Ardell "Ardie" Adams, age 84 of Reynolds, ND passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at his farm home, after a short, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Ardell Arthur Adams, the son of Joseph E. and Caroline (Leddige) Adams, was born on August 17, 1924 at home in Reynolds, ND. Ardell Arthur Adams, the son of Joseph E. and Caroline (Leddige) Adams, was born on August 17, 1924 at home in Reynolds, ND. He was the youngest son in a family of 12 children, and grew to manhood farming with his parents and brothers. He attended Michigan 86 school and graduated from the 8th grade. Ardell married Elizabethann Adams on June 9, 1948 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Reynolds. He dedicated his life to farming and running a mechanical shop, Ardie's Repair, at the farm. He enjoyed singing in church and for numerous weddings, funerals, anniversaries and community benefits. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and pulling water skiers on those long hot summer days at Golden Lake. Ardie was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Reynolds Knights of Columbus and the parish council. He was a director on the Farmers Coop Elevator in Reynolds for 23 years, a director on the Golden Lake Imp Association for 18 years, a director on Michigan County School board and had also been a 4-H leader. In 1983 he won the Eastern Grand Forks County conservation award. Ardell is survived by his wife, Elizabethann; sons, Francis, Grand Forks, ND, Mike (Denise), Northwood, ND and Kevin (Pam), Reynolds, ND; daughters, Shirley Wyatt, Mentor, MN, Judy (Kirke) Henry, Northwood, ND, Kathy Adams, Harwood, ND, and Anita Adams, Amenia, ND; 23 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren; sisters, Agatha Myers, Doris Severinson, Mary Severinson, Ruth Holweger all of Grand Forks and Colleen Bohm, Reynolds, ND; brothers, Howard, Grand Forks, ND; Vernon (Mary), Thompson, ND and Eugene (Sophine), Reynolds, ND and brother-in-law, Raymond (Diane) Adams, Reynolds, ND. He is preceded in death by an infant son, Neil Fredrick; great-grandchild, Jade Christine; his parents; sisters, Agnes Beard, Loretta Wyman a brother, Romie. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Reynolds, ND. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Reynolds. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Tuesday. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Reynolds, ND in the spring.
