Ardis Josephine Kiepke was born March 20, 1922 on a farm near Centerville, SD, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Johns) Kiepke. Read More	Ardis Jorgensen, 89, died Friday, May 27, 2011, one week after being admitted to the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. Ardis Josephine Kiepke was born March 20, 1922 on a farm near Centerville, SD, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Johns) Kiepke. She attended Midway grade school and graduated from Centerville High School. On March 20, 1943 she was united in marriage to Alfred A. Jorgensen at Centerville. Following their marriage they lived on a farm near Beresford, then moved to Centerville and Garretson before moving to Lennox. In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center for 12 years. Her husband died on June 5, 1981. She continued to make her home in Lennox since that time. Ardis was a member of First English Lutheran Church and was active in WELCA. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, crocheting, traveling to see her family, gardening and stealing cucumbers from Dennis's garden. She loved attending school activities to watch her grandchildren participate. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Wayne and his wife, Angel; four sisters and three brothers. She was the last surviving member of the Joesph Kiepke family. Grateful for having shared her life are her children: Marlys (Jerry) Mullinix, Westminster, CO, Kenneth (Cheryl) Jorgenson, Norman, OK, Jerry (Jinhe) Jorgensen Waldorf, MD, Tommy Jorgensen, Minneapolis, MN, Dennis (Carleen) Jorgensen, Lennox and William (Tammie) Jorgensen, Tea; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Madelyn Hammond, Elise and Annika Lantagne and Connor Jorgensen. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31 at First English Lutheran Church, Lennox with burial to follow in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery, rural Centerville.
