Description	:	GREELEY — Ardis R. Wellington, 71, of Greeley died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Sumner Place in Lincoln. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Plains Baptist Church in Lincoln. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Greeley Cemetery. Trump Funeral Services, 1600 W. O St., Lincoln is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Wellington was born Dec. 14, 1942, in Greeley to Francis and Maye (Pogue) Wagner. She graduated from high school in Greeley and went on to beauty school. Mrs. Wellington was born Dec. 14, 1942, in Greeley to Francis and Maye (Pogue) Wagner. She graduated from high school in Greeley and went on to beauty school. She married James Church Wellington on Feb. 24, 1964, in Lincoln. Ardis said one of her greatest accomplishments was being married to the same wonderful man for 30 years until his passing. She worked for Hobbs Coffee Shop, Globe Laundry, Uniservice, Russ's Market and General Catering at Ameritas. Ardis was a thoughtful person who always saw the best in everyone. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, pow-wows and needlework. She lived her life without regrets. Ardis will be remembered always by her stepson and his wife, Paul and Ana Wellington of Lincoln; her stepdaughter, Sue Gamblain of Houston, Texas; an adopted brother, Kenneth Stabler of Lincoln; two sisters, Ethel Mae Johnson of Greeley and Judy Nicholson of Lincoln; a brother-in-law, Dwight Johnson of Albion; her grandchildren, Annette Gamblain of Houston, Texas, Majorie Martin-Smith of Lincoln, Jason Martin of Houston, Texas, Tom Smietana of Lincoln, and Wendy Pedrosa of Grand Island; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five siblings, three brothers-in-law and a nephew.
