Services was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City, with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery at Ashton. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with a Sodality rosary and vigil service at 7. Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Janulewicz was born Feb. 7, 1922, on a farm south of Ashton to Theophil and Theresa (Grabowski) Bonczynski. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Carol Jarzynka of Loup City; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Keith Reihe of Vail, Colo.; a stepson, Ken, and his wife, Phyllis, of Loup City; a stepdaughter and her husband, Patti and Jerry Kowalski of Loup City; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, 17 stepgreat-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Bonnie Bonczynski of Lexington; and a sister, Agnes Smedra of Kearney. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Anzel Jarzynka; her second husband, Paul Janulewicz; and an infant daughter. She grew up and attended school in Sherman County. She married Anzel Jarzynka on Sept. 26, 1945. The couple lived on a farm south of Ashton for eight years and then moved to a farm north of Rockville. Anzel died Jan. 12, 1961. Arlene and her two children, Jerry and Christine, moved to Loup City, where she worked as a dental assistant for 20 years. On July 22, 1967, she married Paul Janulewicz at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City. They made their home in Loup City. She was a member of St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church, Rosary Sodality and Council of Catholic Women.
