Description	:	Arlene Larson, 80, of Winfred passed away on Sunday, June 21 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Arlene L. Rueb was born at home near Unityville, SD to Fred and Minnie (Wobig) Rueb on December 19, 1928. She attended a country school in the Unityville area through grade school and then Salem High School which she graduated from in 1946. After graduation she moved to Sioux Falls and worked as a secretary. Read More	Arlene Larson, 80, of Winfred passed away on Sunday, June 21 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Arlene L. Rueb was born at home near Unityville, SD to Fred and Minnie (Wobig) Rueb on December 19, 1928. She attended a country school in the Unityville area through grade school and then Salem High School which she graduated from in 1946. After graduation she moved to Sioux Falls and worked as a secretary. Arlene met Kenneth Larson at the Youth for Christ meetings in Salem and they were married on March 9, 1951 at the First Baptist Church in Sioux Falls. Arlene and Kenneth lived and farmed north of Salem and then in the Winfred area. They continued to live on the farm until April, 2007 when both Kenneth and Arlene moved to the Howard Good Samaritan Center. Arlene died on June 21, 2009 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. She had reached the age of 80 years, 6 months, and 2 days. Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Sheila) of Flandreau, and Lyle (Vickie) of Vadnais Heights, MN; three daughters, Joyce (Mike) Becker of Winfred, Audrey (Bill) O'Sullivan of Savage, MN, and Dawn (Bryon) Hahn of Humboldt; 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 2008, and her parents.Visitation will begin on Thursday at 9 am with family present from 6:30 - 8 pm at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem. Funeral services for Arlene Larson will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 26 at Ramsey Baptist Church, rural Montrose.
