Kenneth Evald Larson was born on Sept. 15, 1923, at Montrose to Carl and Esther (Lindell) Larson. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, John.He attended Brookfield #5 country school through eighth grade and graduated from Salem High School in 1941. Read More	Kenneth E. Larson, 84, Winfred, died on March 12, 2008, at the Howard Good Samaritan Center, Howard, SD. Kenneth Evald Larson was born on Sept. 15, 1923, at Montrose to Carl and Esther (Lindell) Larson. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, John.He attended Brookfield #5 country school through eighth grade and graduated from Salem High School in 1941. He then worked on the family farm and also did some trucking. He married Arlene Rueb on March 9, 1951, at Sioux Falls. He worked at the Farmers Union and then at the John Deere implement in Salem as a mechanic until he began farming north of Salem and in the Winfred area. He retired from farming in 1992 but they remained on the farm until April 2007, when they moved into the Howard Good Samaritan Center. Survivors include his wife, Arlene of Howard; two sons, Dennis (Sheila) of Flandreau, and Lyle (Vickie) of Vadnais Heights, Minn.; three daughters, Joyce (Mike) Becker of Winfred, Audrey (Bill) O'Sullivan of Savage, Minn., and Dawn (Bryon) Hahn of Humboldt; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and a brother, Wesley (Ariel) of Minneapolis, Minn. Funeral services will be Sat., March 15,in Ramsey Baptist Church, rural Montrose, with burial in the Ramsey Cemetery.
