Description	:	Arlene Mae Hall grew up in the Plum Creek area, attended school at Boone County School District #9 and graduated from St. Edward High School in the Class of 1941. Upon completion of Normal Training in high school, Miss Shell taught at District #66 in rural Boone County. On February 18, 1943, Arlene was united in marriage to Leo K. Hall at her parents farm home. The couple lived and farmed about 2 miles south of St. Edward until moving to town in 1979. Read More	Arlene Mae Hall grew up in the Plum Creek area, attended school at Boone County School District #9 and graduated from St. Edward High School in the Class of 1941. Upon completion of Normal Training in high school, Miss Shell taught at District #66 in rural Boone County. On February 18, 1943, Arlene was united in marriage to Leo K. Hall at her parents farm home. The couple lived and farmed about 2 miles south of St. Edward until moving to town in 1979. Arlene was active in the Early Hour Extension Club, the Boone County Extension Council, P.E.O. Chapter DV, and women's groups at the Presbyterian Church and later the Methodist-Presbyterian Church. She and Leo were also active in Mariners and enjoyed playing cards and square dancing. When St. Edward built low-income HUD apartments, Arlene took the position as executive director of the St. Edward Housing Authority and served for over 20 years. In 1999 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, Arlene moved to Colorado to be near her daughters. She passed away at the Bear Creek Nursing Center in Morrison, CO, on October 7, 2006, at age 82. (October 7, 2006 Columbus Telegram)
