Read More	Arlene Ruth, the daughter of Earl Parks and Nina (Hiller) Parks, was born on November 16, 1911 at Marysville, KS. She passed away on February 9, 2004 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior at the age of 92 years. At the age of five the family moved to Superior, NE. She attended Superior Public Schools graduating with the class of 1929. Arlene graduated from the Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln, NE. On October 31, 1937 she was united in marriage to Raymond A. Ruth. Together they owned and operated a Men's Clothing Store until their retirement in 1978. Mrs. Ruth was an active member of the United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school and was a faithful choir member, often directing the choir. She served on many committees of the church and served as President of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of several organizations. She and her husband started Job's Daughters in Superior and is Past Guardian and an Honorary Member. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Raymond on March 4, 1980, and infant sister and brother. Mrs. Ruth leaves no family, but a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 14, 2004 from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, NE with Pastor Dorthea Fairbanks officiating. Pallbearers were Steve McGowan, Jeff Guilkey, Ron Peterson, Allen Sander, Rick Alexander, and Mark Diehl. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Duane Wrench, Dr. William Upton, Everett Lillich, Robert Noren, Charles Stile (sic), Les Jensen, Andy Montgomery and Gilbert Smidt.
