OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, April 22, 1948 MRS. EUGENE RANDALL Arminta Mae White, daughter of Benjamin and Ellen White, was born February 4, 1876 and passed away at the Yocom hospital, April 13, 1948 at the age of 72 years, two months and nine days. She grew to young womanhood in Cedar township and while still a girl, accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the United Brethren church at Bethel. On November 20, 1894, she was united in marriage to Eugene H. Randall and with the exception of a few years spent in Oklahoma, their entire married life has been lived in Lucas county. Eight children were born to this union, all of whom were with their mother during the last days of her illness. They are: Oren, Hugh and Harry, all of Chariton; Mrs. Eva Edwards and Mrs. Pearl Phippen, of Russell; Mrs. Stella Zike and Mrs. Elsie Woodman, of Chariton; and Mrs. Margery Goltry of Des Moines. In addition to the husband and children, Mrs. Randall is survived by 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ed Smith, of Medicine Lake, Mont., and Mrs. Stant Cooper of Chariton, four brothers, Lawrence, Shelby and Thomas of Russell and Floyd of Chariton. Also 19 nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one grandchild. Mrs. Randall was quiet and unassuming in manner, a loving wife and mother, always devoted to the welfare of her home and loved ones. Services in charge of the Rev. Archie Beals were held at the Beardsley funeral home Friday, April 16, at two o'clock. Burial was made in the Bethel Cemetery.
