Description	:	Arnold L. Kober, 64, passed away Thursday, June 26, 1997, at his home after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born July 17, 1932, in Deaver, Wyo., the son of Lewin L. Kober and Amalia Lehman Kober. He moved to Billings in 1934. He grew up in Billings and the Huntley Project area and attended schools there also. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. Kober, 64, passed away Thursday, June 26, 1997, at his home after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born July 17, 1932, in Deaver, Wyo., the son of Lewin L. Kober and Amalia Lehman Kober. He moved to Billings in 1934. He grew up in Billings and the Huntley Project area and attended schools there also. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. On Oct. 27, 1956, he married Margaret Ann Lepp. Arnold held numerous jobs and loved driving truck the best. In 1989, they moved to their homestead in Townsend where he continued to garden, harvest and fish - his favorite pastimes. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, three sons, Kenton (Melody) of Kingston, Wash., Keith (Holly) of Billings, Karl E. of Billings; two daughters, Christine (Phillip) Tilley of Billings and Karen Kober of Portland, Ore. He has nine grandchildren whom he loved and enjoyed spending time with. He has three brothers, Emil L. Albert (Betty), Solomon (Katrol), all of Billings; and eight sisters, Elizabeth Hoehne of Billings, Dorothy Morris (Ken) of Springhill, Fla., Olga Fox (George) of Billings, Emma Kennedy of Seattle, Wash., Polly Trapp, Alberta Hofferber, Lillian Leikam (Bob) and Eleanor Zeiler (Gary) all of Billings. He has several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Walter; and one sister, Lydia; and one grandson, Kyle William Kober, He was a stranger to no one and would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Services will be 10 a.m. Monda, June 30, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in Sunet Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Pipe Organ Fund on the Lutheran hour, 537 Grand Ave., Billings, 59101. Smith Downton Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
