W Beer, one of the pioneers of Appanoose county, having came here in the early years with her parents, passed away at her home 2 miles northwest of this place at 11 o'clock last night. Mrs. Beer has been ailing for the past year and suffered a hemmorage yesterday which caused her death. She is survived by two sons, Frank and Irving and one daughter, Mrs. Earnest Woodburn of Califomia. The funeral will be held in Cincinnati Saturday, the delay being caused by the late arrival of her daughter, who is expected the last of the week. Mrs. Beer is a sister-in-law of Dee Evans, postmaster at Mystic. The Centerville Semi-Weekly Iowegian Friday, June 18, 1915 Mrs. S. W. Beer Called by Death .. Cincinnati Review.—This community was surprised and shocked yesterday morning to learn of the death of Mrs. S. W. Beer at her home northwest of Cincinnati which took place at 11 o clock Monday night. She had been in failing health for some time but it was not generally known that she was in so serious a condition. She was 51 years, one month and one day of age. Her maiden name was Arthela Haines and she was born near Walnut City, this county, where she lived until her marriage to S. W. Beer and has resided on a farm northwest of Cincinnati about 30 years. She leaves besides her husband three children, Irving, Frank and one daughter, Mrs. Grace Woodburn, of Watsonville, Calif., who was notified Monday of her mother's condition and started at once. The funeral will be held at the home Saturday at 10 o'clock conducted by Elder B. F. Baker and interment will be at Pleasant Hill cometery. The Centerville Journal Thursday Evening, June 24, 1915 Death of Mrs. S. W. Beer Mrs. S. W. Beer passed away at her home northwest of Cincinnati Monday night, June 14. She had been in poor health for some time but her condition was not thought to be so serious. Arthela Haines was born May 13, 1864, near Walnut City, where she lived until her marriage to S. W. Beer and has resided on the farm where she died for about 20 years. The deceased is survived by her husband and three children: Irving, Frank and one daughter, Mrs. Grace Woodburn, of Watsonville, Calif., who came for the funeral which was held last Saturday morning at the home conducted by Elder B. F. Baker. Burial was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
