Description	:	Arthur W. Rodehorst of Pleasanton died Saturday evening at the Kearney hospital. He was 83. Mr. Rodehorst, son of John and Ida Saalfeld Rodehorst, was born north of Columbus, Nebraska and was a resident of the Pleasanton area for 77 years. Arthur and Harriet "Hattie" Valentine were married March 14 , 1929. He farmed southeast of town until he retired in 1972. Art was also the Cedar Township assessor for 13 years and enjoyed working at the Klein Hardware. He was a member of the Pleasanton United Methodist Church. Art and Hattie were part of the Rodehorst family band. Art continued playing the violin as long as he was able. Survivors are his wife, Harriet of Pleasanton; a son, Wayne of Mentor, Ohio, a daughter, Ardith Ray of Enid, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Esther Ritter of Kearney, Ella Meta and Lillie Dauel of Pleasanton and Laura Lammers of Portland, Oregon; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers. The funeral is planned for Tuesday at 2. p.m. at the Pleasanton UM church. The Rev. Bill Ritter will officiate at the funeral with burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
