Description	:	Son of Andrew Manson and Louisa Nus; born in rural Arlington. He was orphaned as a boy and lived with various members of his mother's family. He attended high school in Kingman, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas at Lawrence. In 1922 he returned to Arlington and the next year he was appointed a rural mail carrier. He married Elsie Otdoerfer on 15 Sep 1927 at Strawberry Point. Around 1933 he was transferred to Independence and was the carrier for Rt. 3 there for 25 years.
