He was born in Arrington September 13, 1924, a son of the late Arthur Frewen Wilson Sr. and Lucy Sheringham Wilson. Read More	Arthur Frewen Wilson, Jr., 66, of Arrington, died June 18, 1991, at the Medical Care Center in Lynchburg. He was born in Arrington September 13, 1924, a son of the late Arthur Frewen Wilson Sr. and Lucy Sheringham Wilson. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a World War II Army Veteran (see below). He is survived by his wife, Juliet Gantt Wilson; three sons and their wives. Arthur Frewen III and Dianna M. Wilson and Donald Edward and Syliva S. Wilson, all of Arrington and Mark L. and Janice G. Wilson of Lynchburg; one daughter and her husband, Patricia W. and Sherman P. Campbell of Amherst; three sisters, Jeanette W. Steele of Summit, New Jersey, Helen W. Gantt of Roseland and Joan W. DeMasters of Roseland; and eight grandchildren. A funeral service was held Friday, June 21, in Trinity Episcopal Church by the Rev. Craig P. Fickling, with burial in the Wilson home cemetery. Arthur's Army discharge papers give us a fair picture of his life before the war. He attended Lovington High School for 3 3/4 years but did not finish, leaving school in 1942 to work full time for his father to raise livestock and to care for an apple orchard on a 200 acre farm. Prior to that time he had worked after school hours and during summer vacations. While on the farm he drove a tractor and truck, purchased farm supplies and machinery and aided in the marketing of livestock and fruit. In the fall of 1943 he joined the army and after being stationed in Hawaii and perhapsTexas, he shipped out to Okinawa in the Pacific theater. There he served as an antiaircraft battery gunner until he was discharged in 1946 after the war's end. A little over two months later he and Jule were married.
