Description	:	Arthur Gore of this city was killed almost instantly as the result of an accident which took place while he was working with the construction gang on the Newton & Northwestern, one mile north of Ft Dodge Junction Saturday. He was employed by the Lord Electric Co. which has charge of bonding the rails which is part of the work of electrifying the road. Read More	Arthur Gore of this city was killed almost instantly as the result of an accident which took place while he was working with the construction gang on the Newton & Northwestern, one mile north of Ft Dodge Junction Saturday. He was employed by the Lord Electric Co. which has charge of bonding the rails which is part of the work of electrifying the road. The unfortunate young man with others engaged in turning the rails over while they were being bonded and then turned back into place. A section of some 20 rails were turned at a time by the means of crow bars. Care is taken that no one is hurt during the process of turning the rails in place. At this particular time word was sent down the line for all to beware but Gore evidently did not understand and failed to remove his bar, one end of which was run through the end of the rail. The impetus of the rails in falling back into place caused the unfortunate man to be thrown instantly forward with great force striking the ground between the rails and his neck was broken. A brother William Gore and other workmen witnessed the accident but death resulted immediately and nothing could be done. The accident occurred about 11:30 Saturday forenoon and the remains were brought to this city and taken to the Jayne Undertaking parlors. The remains were later moved to his old home at Mineral Ridge.
