Description	:	WILTON, Iowa - Arthur H. Toyne, 88, formerly of Muscatine, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at his home in Wilton following a lengthy illness. Services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Wilton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Biklen officiating. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Read More	WILTON, Iowa - Arthur H. Toyne, 88, formerly of Muscatine, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at his home in Wilton following a lengthy illness. Mr. Toyne was born on Nov. 29, 1914, in Lake Township, Muscatine County, the son of George and Lorena Brownawell Toyne. He married Frances B. Lucas on March 28, 1936, in Muscatine. He graduated from Muscatine High School in 1932. The couple lived in Lake Township where for many years they farmed. Later he was employed by the Muscatine School System, first as a custodian, and later in maintenance, retiring in 1977. He also did plumbing and electrical work for many friends and neighbors. He was a member of the Spangler Chapel United Methodist Church for 50 years, transferring to Wilton United Methodist Church in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Richard Toyne and his wife, Shirley, of Sunbury, and Kenneth Toyne and his wife, Roberta, of Carterville, Missouri; two daughters, Audrey Johnson of Wilton, and Linda Claussen and her husband, Bob, of Grand Mound; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Bertha Toyne of Muscatine; a brother-in-law Arthur Lucas and his wife, Shirley, of Moline, Illinois and La Feria, Texas; and a special son-in-law, Loren Windus of Moscow. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances in 1997, one daughter, Shirley Windus in 1957, two sisters Ruth & Margaret Toyne, and five brothers, Howard, Walter, Lee, Ivan and Ralph.
