Mr. Shumaker was born March 9, 1908, in Lost City, Hardy County, W.Va., the son of Amos R. and Hannah Delawder Shumaker. He was retired from the Greyhound Bus Company Baggage Department in Washington, D.C. He attended Pentecostal Holiness Church in Stephenson. Mr. Shumaker was born March 9, 1908, in Lost City, Hardy County, W.Va., the son of Amos R. and Hannah Delawder Shumaker. He was retired from the Greyhound Bus Company Baggage Department in Washington, D.C. He attended Pentecostal Holiness Church in Stephenson. He was married to Betty Woodward Nicholson on July 2, 1981, in Hagerstown, Md. His first wife, Hilda Gay Strawderman, died in 1974. Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Pauline Borror of Strasburg; a son, Franklin Brill of Winchester; two stepsons, Thomas W. Nicholson of Falls Church and James F. Nicholson of Richmond; a step-daughter, Ruby Fultz of Port Clinton, Ohio; a sister, Mamie Shoemaker of Lost City; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A sister, Ada Ayers; and six brothers, Ray Shumaker, Elbert Shumaker, John Shoemaker, Noah Shoemaker, Wade Shoemaker, and Haden Shoemaker, are deceased. A funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Neff officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Lost City. Pallbearers will be Ricky Brill, Frank Brill Jr., Jeffrey Grim, John Borror, and Danny Nicholson. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at Jones Funeral Home.
