Read More	Nemaha County Herald (Auburn, NE), Thursday, May 30, 1946; pg. 3 Michel - Eitzmann Wedding Solemnized The marriage of Miss Hilda Louise Michel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Michel of Johnson to Arthur Eitzmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eitzmann of Hardy, Nebr., was solemnized at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, May 23, at St. Paul's Lutheran church (sic) (Hickory Grove), Auburn. Rev. B.C. Wiebke performed the impressive double ring ceremony in the presence of many friends and relatives. The altar was decorated with large baskets of garden flowers. Miss Irene Oestmann played the wedding march as the bridal party entered the church. The birde (sic) wore a lovley (sic) floor length wedding gown, fashioned with fitted bodice of white jersey, long fitted sleeves which came to a point over the hand, and a full skirt of all over net. She carried a bridal bouquet of pink carnations. Her only ornament was a strand of pearls, a gift of the groom. Miss Leona Michel, served her sister as maid of honor, and she was gowned in a floor length dress of blue lace and net over tafetta (sic). Miss Luella Aden was bridesmaid and she wore a floor length dress of pink lace and net over tafetta (sic). The maid of honor and bridesmaid each wore a corsage of pink carnations. The groom's attendants were: Alfred Mueller and Leonard Eitzmann. They wore dark suits with white carnation bouttoneires (sic). Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for a hundred guests. A pink and white motif was carried out in decorations with a three tierred (sic) wedding cake designed in pink and white and topped with a minature (sic) bride and groom. Two tall tapers in crystals (sic) holders were also used on the serving table. The attendants were in charge of the gift room. The young couple will make their home on a farm near Hardy. ====================== The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, September 14, 1995; pg. 20 Arthur Heinrich Friedrick Eitzmann Arthur Heinrich Friedrick Eitzmann, son of Carl and Dora Muller Eitzmann, was born March 31, 1913 in the family home in rural Republic County, and died September 8, 1995 at the Broadstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior at the age of 82 years, five months and eight days. He was baptized April 13, 1913 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in rural Byron, by Pastor F. Schardt, and confirmed September 11, 1927 at St. Peter Lutheran Church by Pastor C.W. Seybold. He graduated from the 8th grade at Triumph Country School, rural Republic County. He served his country in the Army during World War II from March 1942 through October 1945. He landed on Utah Beach at Normandy, France, in June 1944. He was united in marriage to Hilda Louise Michel at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Hickory Grove), at rural Auburn, Neb., and to this union two daughters, Lois and Lucille, were born. He lived on a farm three miles east of Hardy, Neb., until 1963. He became a partner in C & W Farm Supply as a Ford implement dealer in Courtland. He retired in January 1975. He was a past member of the Byron Lion's Club and served on the council of St. Peter's church (sic), of which he was a lifelong member. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Elmer. He is survived by his wife Hilda, two daughters, Lois Kirchhoff of rural Hardy, and Lucille Schardt of rural Byron, one sister, Elsa Michel of Auburn, two brothers, Oscar of Hardy and Lenard of Byron, and five grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 11, 1995 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, rural Byron, with Pastor David Nordstrom officiating. Graveside services with military rites was conducted by the Halfman Post No. 352, American Legion of Deshler. Burial was in in St. Peter Cemetery, rural Byron.
