EITZMANN Carl Wilhem (sic) Eitzmann, son of Peter C. and Wilhelmine (Luedermann) Eitzmann, was born November 10, 1885 in Schwalingen Hanover, Germany, and died February 23 at the Nuckolls County Hospital at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 13 days. He came to American with his parents in September of 1891. They settled west of Byron. March 3, 1910 he was united in marriage to Dora Mueller of Auburn. To this union five children were born, one son, Elmer died in infancy. He lived on the farm all his life having shared his home with son, Leonard and family a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, nine brothers, two sisters and one great-grandchild. Survivors are: his wife of the Good Samaritan Home in Superior; three sons, Arthur and wife, Hilda of Byron, Oscar and wife, Mable of Hardy, Lenard and wife, Luella of Hardy; one daughter, Elsa and husband, Edwin Michel of Johnson; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Reinke of Hardy; one brother, Albert of Auburn. Funeral services were held in St. Peter Lutheran church (sic) near Byron February 25 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor A.L. Meyer officiating. Interment was in St. Peter cemetery (sic).
