Fish, who is manager of the Hasting Pharmacy at Chico, California, has had a wide experience in the pharmaceutical profession, and is well qualified by education and training to fulfill the responsible duties of his present position. Mr. Fish was born at Columbus Junction, Iowa, and is a son of Evan and Sarah Elizabeth (nee Brand) Fish. Mr. Fish was born at Columbus Junction, Iowa, and is a son of Evan and Sarah Elizabeth (nee Brand) Fish. The father engaged in farming at Columbus Junction, and became a veteran of the Civil War, in which conflict he served from 1861 to 1865 in Company F, Twenty-fifth Iowa Volunteer Infantry. Arthur H. Fish was educated in the grade schools and in the high school of Columbus Junction, then studied pharmacy at Valparaiso University, at Valparaiso, Indiana, from which institution he received his professional degree. Mr. Fish has traveled far and wide in following his chosen calling since that date, and has practiced pharmacy in the states of Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Texas, and California. He was employed by the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railway in various capacities at Galveston, Texas, and in the same city was inspector for the Western Inspection Bureau in charge of the Morgan Steamship Lines. He was chief clerk to the traffic manager of the Island Steel Company at Chicago, Illinois, was employed by the Indiana Harbor Belt Railway at Chicago, and was also in charge of the fast freight for the Santa Fe at Galveston, Texas. Mr. Fish came to Chico, California, in the year 1921, and, as stated before, is now the manager of the modern Hasting Pharmacy in this city. At Paris, Texas, February 11, 1920, Mr. Fish was married to Miss Eunice Siler, a daughter of James Granville and Emma (Wallace) Siler, and they have one child, Howard Siler Fish. Mr. Fish is a charter member of the Masonic blue lodge No. 686 at East Chicago, Illinois, and a member of the Scottish Rite bodies at Galveston, Texas.
