Read More	Obit from Messenger of Truth Issue 8, 1978: Our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Arthur Isaac, was born at Dundee, Kansas, on March 25, 1889, to Jacob and Mary Isaac, and departed this life March 21, 1978, lacking four days of being eighty-nine years of age. At the age of two years, his parents both died, and he was welcomed into the home of David C. and Cathrine Unruh at Durham, Kansas. He loved and appreciated his foster parents very much and cared for them in their older years. He received his schooling at Durham, Kansas. As a young man, he went west and settled at Montezuma, Kansas, where he also met our mother, Justine Friesen. They were married September 23, 1914, at Cimarron, Kansas. They shared the blessings and sorrows of life for nearly sixty years, when Mother was taken from his side through death, leaving him sad and lonely. To this union four sons and one daughter were born. One son, Vernon, died a tragic death at the age of twenty years. In this, as well as in other sorrows, they sought, and also found, comfort in the Lord. Early in their married life, they sought the Lord and found salvation through faith in the blood of Jesus. Upon true repentance, they were baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite by grandfather Peter A. Friesen. Father remained true to his vows till the end. After living at various places in Kansas, they moved to Durham in 1928; where they resided until retirement, when they moved to the town of Hillsboro, Kansas. When sickness came their way, they both spent time in the hospital after which they made their home at Bethel Home, Montezuma, Kansas. Father spent the last fifteen months of his life at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas. Father enjoyed the services and loving care given to him during his stay in these retirement homes. We as a family share in this appreciation of the care given to our loved one. Father worked hard to provide well for the needs and comforts of his family. He was also ready and willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, also doing his part in the Kingdom of God, which he loved dearly. He often expressed his desire to go home to be with the Lord, and that he was ready to go. We firmly believe that Father has gone home and is safe in the bosom of the Father. Those who share the memory and loss of our loved one include three sons: David and wife Geneva, Butler, Missouri; Edward and wife Evelyn, Ulysses, Kansas; Irwin and wife Rosella, Durham, Kansas; and one daughter: Mrs. Edna Redger, Canton, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Vernon; his parents and foster parents; four brothers; and one sister and one grandchild. Obituary courtesy of FAG Contributor Jcarter.
