Read More	Obit from Messenger of Truth Issue 15, 1974: My beloved wife, Justina (Friesen) Isaac, and our loving mother and grandmother, was born at Inman, Kansas on November 4, 1893, to Peter A. and Justina Friesen, and departed this life July 3, 1974 at the Trinity Hospital, Dodge City, Kansas, at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 29 days. In the year of 1914, on Sept. 23, she was united in marriage to me, Arthur Isaac at Cimarron, Kansas. We shared the blessings and sorrows of life together for nearly sixty years. To this union four sons and one daughter were born. One son Vernon died a tragic death when he was but 20 years old. Early in our married life we felt our lost condition without salvation, so we sought the Lord and found salvation in the shed blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Repenting of our sins, we were baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite by her father, Minister Peter A. Friesen. She remained true to God and His Church to her end. In November of 1973 we moved to Bethel Home, a retirement center, at Montezuma, Kansas, where we were living at the present time. We have witnessed the life and the passing of a loving and kind mother and grandmother, and a loving faithful wife and companion. She enjoyed visiting and especially enjoyed singing. A look into her soul reveals a love for the Lord and His kingdom, a loving concern for her children and grandchildren, as well as others. And why should we repine that Jesus in His bosom wears a flower that once was mine. We firmly believe that mother has gone home to be at rest forevermore. Those that cherish the memory and mourn at her departure are: me, her deeply bereaved husband, Arthur Isaac, Bethel Home, Montezuma, Kansas; three sons: David and wife Geneva of Butler, Mo.; Edward and wife Evelyn of Ulysses, Kansas; Irwin and wife Rosella of Durham, Kansas; one daughter, Edna and her husband Ira Redger, of Canton, Kansas; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sara Nikkel of Hillsboro, Kansas and Mary, Mrs. Pete Nikkel of Inman, Kansas; and a host of relatives and friends.
