Description	:	HALSTEAD, Asa D. "Ace" - A resident of Santa Rosa, CA died June 2, 2007. He was born at Bloomfield, NE on August 14, 1935 to William Dwane and Mary Isabelle (Hall) Halstead. Read More	HALSTEAD, Asa D. "Ace" - A resident of Santa Rosa, CA died June 2, 2007. He was born at Bloomfield, NE on August 14, 1935 to William Dwane and Mary Isabelle (Hall) Halstead. The family moved to Western Nebraska in 1937. In January 1959, he married Shirley Ann England, both graduating from Morrill High School in 1953. They were blessed with Stewart, Gregory and David. After high school, Ace attended Northeastern Oklahoma A & M for one year prior to his enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served three years with the Army Security Agency in Germany. After his discharge, he attended Chadron State College double majoring in Speech/Drama and English, graduating Cum Laude in 1961. He was President of the Blue Key National Honorary Fraternity at Chadron State College. He taught English at the Morrill High School and upon completion of his Masters Degree in 1968 was high school principal for three years. In 1970, he joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent, serving at Quantico, VA; San Diego and San Francisco, CA. In 1974, he was assigned to the Santa Rosa Resident Agency where he later served as the Senior Resident Agent. Ace retired June 2nd, 1990 from government service.
