Friends of Mr. Frank Bennett will be pained to know the loss of his wife, who died at Woodbine, February 11, 1902, of peritonitis. Mr. Bennett will have the heartfelt sympathy of his host of friends and old neighbors in his sad loss of a most loving wife and mother. Mr. Bennett will have the heartfelt sympathy of his host of friends and old neighbors in his sad loss of a most loving wife and mother. The Woodbine Twiner has the following to say in regard to her demise: “One of the very sad events of the past week was the death of Mrs. Frank Bennett which occurred Tuesday evening February 11, at 9:35 p.m. She was ill less than a week from a severe attack of peritonitis. Atlanta “Attie” Blevins Bennett was born in Atchison County, Missouri, June 17, 1869. She moved to Nebraska, and after a residence of seven years, moved to Pacific Junction, Iowa. She was married to F. B. Bennett, September 19, 1888, and they moved to Woodbine about two years ago. She united with the Baptist Church at Glenwood in 1887 and afterward with the Methodist Church. She leaves husband, four children and a large number of other relatives to mourn her early demise. She was sick only four days. With song on her lips and with resignation in her heart, she passed into the beautiful beyond at 9:35 p.m. February 11, 1902. Having been a dutiful daughter and a faithful wife and mother, and obedient to His holy will, “Our heavenly Father will grant unto her an abundant entrance into his kingdom.” The funeral was held today at 1:30 p.m. from the M.E. church, Rev. E. Hill officiating.
