Description	:	Aubry L. Bickett was born Sept. 1, 1918 to Perle and Clara (Maulsby) Bickett at Madison, SD. His mother died when he was an infant. He grew to manhood in the Oldham area, attending rural schools there. He worked on a farm in the Graceville, Min. area as a young man. On Dec. 11, 1941 he was united in marriage to Judith Schrooten of Fedora. To this union one daughter was born. On Feb. 11, 1942 he was inducted into the U.S. Army.... Read More	Aubry L. Bickett was born Sept. 1, 1918 to Perle and Clara (Maulsby) Bickett at Madison, SD. His mother died when he was an infant. He grew to manhood in the Oldham area, attending rural schools there. He worked on a farm in the Graceville, Min. area as a young man. On Dec. 11, 1941 he was united in marriage to Judith Schrooten of Fedora. To this union one daughter was born. On Feb. 11, 1942 he was inducted into the U.S. Army. He served in the South Pacific and Japan until he was discharged in Dec. 1945. He returned to the Oldham area where he farmed until 1952 when he and his family moved to Estelline where he sold Allis-Chalmers machinery. They then moved to the Fedora area where he farmed until 1959. They then operated the De Lite Bakery in Howard until 1962 when they moved back to the farm near Fedora where they lived until he bad to retire because of ill health. The last several years they spent the winter months at Zapata, TX. and summer here in Howard. Survivors include his wife Judith; daughter, Leta and her husband Bruce, Tucson, Az.; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Schneider, Howard; half brothers: Stanley and Lyle Bickett, Oldham; half sisters: Doris Holland, Lake Preston, Avis Miller, Arlington, Alice Johansen, Mankato, MN. several nieces and nephews. Interment was at the Oldham Cemetery.
