Mrs. Canterbury was a member of Foster Church of Christ, Foster. She was employed at the May Company in Ohio and a longtime Madison restaurant owner and operator of The Court House Lunch, The Spot, The Coffee Shop and Canterbury 's Restaurant. Born on June 13, 1913, in Madison, she was a daughter of the late Otto O. and Elizabeth VandeLinde Miller. In addition to her parents, Audra was preceded in death by her husband, George Vissel Canterbury ; son, Billy C. Canterbury ; twin daughters, Lora June and Elizabeth Jean Canterbury , all of Madison; and three brothers, Roscoe E. Miller of Chicago, Ill., Rexford E. Miller of Cleveland, Ohio, and Eugene O. Miller of Madison. Surviving her are two sisters, Elizabeth M. "Betty" Dolin of Foster and Lucy A. Sigmon of Melbourne, Ky. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Vernon Dolin officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
