Audrey Ann Boger was born October 26, 1925, in Crawford County, the daughter of William and Florence (Schwieso) Boger. She received her education at Country Hanover #7 school. She married Carroll Delaine Steffen on September 14, 1943, in Dakota City, Nebraska. Together they farmed near Charter Oak, until they retired and moved to Charter Oak. She was a homemaker and later worked at Farmland Foods for nineteen years operating the ham injector machine on the process kitchen floor, until she retired in 1985. Carroll preceded her in death on March 15, 1991. She enjoyed her paper route and travels to Florida with family and attending county fairs with her grandchildren. She loved baking, especially pies, doing embroidery, flowers and gardening and watching Family Feud, Mollie B and RFD on television. She was a devoted mother to her children and loving grandmother to her grandchildren. Surviving are one daughter, Roxanne (Neil) Steffensen of Thompson; two sons, Russell (Michele) Steffen of Dow City and Randall (Lisa) Steffen of Charter Oak; seven grandchildren, Lindy Cirks of West Bend, Cory (Rachel) Steffen of Dow City, Zachariah Steffensen of Thompson, Ryan (Amanda) Steffensen of Guthrie Center, Marcus (fiancee, Anyssa) Steffen of Manning and Jonathon Steffen and Emily Steffen, both of Charter Oak; six great-grandchildren, Carson, Carter, Colt, Eva, Cora and Mila; one brother, Jerry Boger of Denison; one sister-in-law, Delores Greene of Denison; and one brother-in-law, Charles (Joy) Steffen of Cortez, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Mildred Carstens. Huebner Funeral Home
