Born in Bridgewater, she was the only daughter of the late Stanley and Rita (Durling) Rafuse. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Mahon and by her brother, Laurier Rafuse. Educated in Bridgewater, Mount Allison, and Dalhousie Universities, she became a professional dietitian and later a school counsellor. Born in Bridgewater, she was the only daughter of the late Stanley and Rita (Durling) Rafuse. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Mahon and by her brother, Laurier Rafuse. Educated in Bridgewater, Mount Allison, and Dalhousie Universities, she became a professional dietitian and later a school counsellor. Surviving are son, David Purdy and daughter, Jane (Patrick) Bailey, Pleasantville; stepdaughters, Peggy Mahon and Mary Davie, Toronto. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer Bailey, Toronto;Dr. Jason Bailey (Ranya), Cambridge, Onterio; James Mahon Davie, New York, and Donna Morris, Toronto; great-grandchildren, Anna, David, Monica, and Sophia Bailey. Audrie chose cremation and a family interment will be held in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, on August 22 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be sent to War Amps, Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.
