First settling in Jacksonville, Illinois, then returned to Germany in 1861, and came again to America in 1866. First living in St. Louis, then onto Kansas in 1867, and Ottawa county, Kansas, in 1869. He was a harness maker and served Ada, Kansas as a postmaster, and on December 20, 1874, he was married to Miss Susan White. |
