Description	:	August Eckhart died shortly after 3:00 o'clock at Engelwood hospital, of an attack of acute appendicitis. Mr Eckhart was taken sick on Sunday and on the following evening an operation was performed, but it was soon apparent that there was no chance for the young man to survive. August Eckhart was the son of Mr and Mrs Louis Eckhart and was born October 27, 1888. His father died last fall from the same disease. August Eckhart was the son of Mr and Mrs Louis Eckhart and was born October 27, 1888. His father died last fall from the same disease. Since that time he had taken charge of the farm two miles north of town and was the main stay of the family, his mother depending upon him for the support that would have come from his father. Besides his mother he is survived by three brothers and seven sisters, all of whom live either at home or within the neighborhood. The funeral was held at the French Grove Lutheran Church Monday morning, Rev A J Boehm, formerly pastor of the church, but now located at Ogden, officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery. January 25, 1912 State Center Enterprise.
