Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at the Twit Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus at 8 p.m. Saturday and by the Holy Name Society of SS. Peter and Paul's Church at 8 p.m. Sunday, led by Msgr. Greteman. Mr. Heithoff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Heithoff, was born April 5, 1870, in Guttenberg, Iowa. He came to Carroll County as a child. On Feb. 6, 1895, he was married to Anna Bierman at Sacred Heart Church, Templeton, with the Rev. Fr. Schulte, officiating. They farmed five miles south and one-half mile east of Carroll until 1909. For the last 48 years Mr. Heithoff had lived in his present home, 100 South Crawford Street. His wife preceded him in death. Mr. Heithoff is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louis J. Lechtenberg (Dorothy), who, with her husband, lives at the family home. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Heithoff was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose and four brothers, John, Joe, Henry, and Barney Heithoff. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church, the Holy Name Society of the parish and Charles Carroll Council No. 780, Knights of Columbus.
