Read More	Young Man Called By Death August Schiernbeck Died at Parental Home in Davenport August Schiernbeck, not Carl as stated last week, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schiernbeck in Davenport, Monday, April 7, 1919, at 8 a.m., after much suffering. The young man took sick months ago, spent seven weeks in the Ida Grove Hospital and eight weeks before his death his father took him to his home in Davenport, where he found the best of care, till death ended the suffering. Leakage of the heart and dropsy caused the early demise of a splendid young man, well liked by all his acquaintances. The deceased was born in Otter Creek township, Crawford county, on March 28, 1889, and spent his entire life in that neighborhood. Late years he has been working for his brothers and sisters and was known as industrious young man until his malady overtook him. He leaves to mourn his death his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schiernbeck of Davenport and the following brothers and sisters, besides numerous friends: Herman Schiernbeck of Otter Creek township, Carl of Otter Creek and Otto of Davenport; Tina, Mrs. Herman R. Miller of Otter Creek Township; Dora, Mrs. W. Carstens of near Buck Grove; Mary, Mrs. Chris. Koch of Davenport; Minna, Mrs. Albert Rohm of Davenport; Dagma, Mrs. Frank Carpenter of near Ida Grove; Leana, Mrs. Fred Zauss of near Ute. Otto is a half brother and Mrs. Carpenter a half sister. The remains were brought here by his father, Mr. Wm. Schiernbeck, and taken to the home of Herman Schiernbeck in Otter Creek township. Burial was made in Morgan township cemetery, Rev.
