She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. On April 15, 1887, she was united in holy wedlock to Fred Henning. The family emigrated to the United States in 1889 and made their home at Glasco, Kansas, where they have lived ever since. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. On April 15, 1887, she was united in holy wedlock to Fred Henning. The family emigrated to the United States in 1889 and made their home at Glasco, Kansas, where they have lived ever since. Mrs. Henning was the mother of of seven children, one of whom, a girl, died at the end of 16. For the last fifteen years of her life she had been afflicted with a severe case of headache. She took the Lord's supper on Friday before Easter, witnessed the confirmation of her youngest daughter of Easter day, and on the following Sunday while in church was overtaken with an alarming attack of headache and, growing very ill could not be taken home, staying in town at the Tobald home, her friends and former neighbors, where, up to the time of her death, she was attended upon with true Christian sympathy and tenderness. About the middle of the afternoon on Sunday she suffered a stroke of paralysis and never regained consciousness, passing away five days thereafter on Friday, April 24. Her age was 52 years, 6 months and one day. She leaves as mourners her husband, six children, one grandchild, two nephews, two brothers and two sisters. The funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Sunday conducted by Rev. J.C. Fitting
