Augusta was born July 17, 1890 to parents Carl and Ida (Buss) Krueger in Sheldon, and attended schools in the Sheldon area. On September 24, 1921, she married the late Glenn Silver Young. He was a carpenter by trade. She was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Anselm, a member of Trinity ALC of Anselm and belonged to the ALCW.
